We're proud to present our fourth annual sustainability report highlighting our progress over the last year in addressing key sustainability topics like climate change, circularity, and social & governance issues. The sustainability report is integrated into the annual report.
The Norwegian Transparency Act became law on July 1, 2022. It ensures respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions in the company`s own operations and in the supply chain.
AutoStore works actively to comply with the demands and expectations set by the Transparency Act. The statement applies to AutoStore Group and any third party acting on behalf of AutoStore Group and is published in accordance with the requirements of The Norwegian Transparency Act.

As a manufacturing business, AutoStore has both direct and indirect environmental impacts.
Our Environment and Climate Policy outlines the main principles governing AutoStore’s management of its impact on the environment and the climate, and describes the requirements for implementation, monitoring, and reporting in compliance with these principles.

EU Taxonomy Reporting
AutoStore is reporting the disclosures required by the EU taxonomy for 2023. This report describes how far our activities are considered environmentally sustainable pursuant to the EU taxonomy.
Our ethical guidelines are set out in our Code of Conduct, the key governing document for all persons working for or on behalf of AutoStore. The Code of Conduct was updated in 2024.
AutoStore has a zero tolerance for corruption, anchored in our Code of Conduct and outlined in the Anti-corruption policy.
As of 2021, the Supply Chain Business Ethics Requirements are communicated to and incorporated into contracts with all new suppliers, and suppliers are required to confirm that they have read and understood them.
At AutoStore, we expect a high degree of ethical behavior from all our employees and we have implemented a Whistleblowing and Investigation Policy to allow for internal and external reporting of incidents that breach with the Code of Conduct.
We are a global company and we have created an HR Policy to ensure that human resources, including equal opportunities, labor rights and recruitment, are managed in a uniform way throughout AutoStore.
In addition, in The Remuneration Policy we present the framework around how contractual and compensation items are set and managed for executive members of management and other senior leaders of AutoStore.
AutoStore is committed to meeting its responsibility to respect human rights as defined by the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. These responsibilities are reflected in the Human Rights Policy which outlines the main principles governing AutoStore’s management of its impact on human rights.
As a business with a global presence, AutoStore recognizes that we can have both positive and adverse impact on people and environment throughout our value chain. Human rights are at the core of AutoStore’s sustainability efforts. Our Global Human Rights Statement builds on our Code of Conduct, and it reflects our understanding of the fundamental rights of all human beings and our commitment to promote respect for those rights.
For AutoStore, sustainability is as much about the solutions, products, and services we offer as to how we run our business and treat our employees and partners. It’s important that we stay true to those values, which is why we’ve introduced an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) tracking program.

AutoStore identified its three focus areas through interviews with employees, customers, shareholders, and suppliers, followed by a materiality assessment conducted by AutoStore representatives from HR, finance, and executive management groups.
GRI, an international organization that publishes widely followed guidelines on ESG reporting, defines it as a methodology to identify and estimate possible issues that might impact a business and its stakeholders. It's a critical first step in the ESG reporting process because the results determine which issues to cover, what types of information to disclose, and how to communicate a company's impacts on issues such as climate change, worker safety, diversity and inclusion, and corruption.
A global company, AutoStore is headquartered in Nedre Vats, Norway, and has employees in the US, UK, Germany, France, Austria, Poland, South Korea, and Japan. At the time of this report, AutoStore had over 550 installations in more than 30 countries in a wide range of industries.

At AutoStore, we have already developed a roadmap with various goals to help address some of society's most important sustainability concerns.
Today, we're actively documenting our actions to achieve these goals in an effort to chart our year-over-year progress.
Set up regular e-learning in the Code of Conduct for existing employees, as well as inclusion in the onboarding process of new employees.
Communicate our anti-bribery policy to partners and suppliers more proactively, and include this information when signing contracts with new suppliers.
Establish an anonymous and external whistle-blowing channel.
Increase the frequency of employee surveys from every two years, to every year.
Hold a fire drill in Poland.
Continued focus on Covid-19 and precautionary measures for all employees.
Our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policy is vital for several reasons.
