1996년에 설립된 오토스토어(AutoStore™)는 기업의 효율적인 상품 보관과 출하를 지원하는 풀필먼트 자동화 솔루션을 개발하는 기술 회사로, 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 역량을 모두 제공하고 있습니다. 오토스토어 기술은 다른 타사 솔루션과 상호 호환이 가능합니다.

노르웨이 서해안에 위치한 네드레 바츠(Nedre Vats)에서 설립된 오토스토어는 노르웨이, 미국, 영국, 독일, 프랑스, 스페인, 이탈리아, 오스트리아, 한국, 일본, 호주, 싱가포르에 지사를 운영 중이며, 폴란드 코샬린(Koszalin)과 태국 라용(Rayong)에 생산 시설을 갖추고 있습니다.
1990년대에 Hatteland Group은 북유럽에서 판매 중인 전자 부품을 보관하기 위해 새로운 대형 창고를 지었습니다. 창고를 지은지 한 달 만에 선반이 가득 차게 되자, 하나의 아이디어가 Hatteland의 기술 이사 Ingvar Hognaland의 머릿속을 불현듯 스치고 지나갔습니다. 바로 물품을 기존의 도미노 방식으로 보관하지 않고, 루빅스 큐브 방식으로 보관하면 어떨까 하는 생각이었습니다. 비효율적으로 물건을 쌓아두는 기존 방식(airhousing) 대신, 공간 효율적인 창고 관리(warehousing)를 도입하기로 마음 먹었습니다.
이것이 큐브 스토리지 자동화와 오토스토어의 시초가 되었습니다.
이러한 새로운 큐브 스토리지 자동화의 개념을 다른 산업에도 적용할 수 있으리라고 판단한 끝에, Hatteland Group은 2000년에 전자부품 사업을 Arrow Electronics에 매각하였습니다. 이렇게 확보한 자금을 통해 Hatteland Group은 오토스토어에 투자할 수 있었으며, 바로 이 때부터 상용화 작업이 시작되었습니다. 견고하고 성숙한 오토스토어 제품은 마침내 Hatteland Group의 중추적인 존재로 자리 잡았으며, 전 세계로 뻗어 나갈 준비를 하였습니다.
2021년, 일본의 세계적인 투자회사 소프트뱅크가 토마스 H. 리 파트너스(Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P.)와 EQT Private Equity의 인수에 이어 오토스토어의 주주가 되었습니다. 오토스토어 시스템은 현재 50개국 1,250곳 이상의 현장에 설치되어 58,500대 이상의 로봇이 작동 중이며, 오토스토어는 적극적인 글로벌 확장을 계속 이어나가고 있습니다.

Mr. Hovland Vikse was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in January 2023. Vikse joined the company in 2017 as Chief Strategy Officer, and advanced to Chief Revenue Officer in 2021. Between 2014 and 2017, he served as a senior advisor at MHWirth. Prior to this, Mr. Hovland Vikse held various positions at Aker Solutions (March 2010 – September 2014), and before that he had the position as Material Coordinator at Aibel and the position as Order Processor at Solar Norge AS.
Mr. Hovland Vikse holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration from BI Norwegian Business School and a master's degree in Applied Finance from the University of Stavanger. He is a Norwegian citizen, currently residing in Norway.

Mr. Dickson was appointed as interim Chief Revenue Officer in January 2023. Prior to this, he had held the role of Senior Vice President of Sales in AutoStore since November 2020. Mr. Dickson is a senior commercial executive with 30+ years of experience within automation products and solutions prior to joining AutoStore, including experience from Danaher Corporation in sales, channel management, marketing, and customer support. Prior to joining AutoStore, he served for 7 years in various leadership roles and on the executive management team at Piab Group, Taby Sweden. Mike is a US citizen, currently residing in the US.

Anette Matre was appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at AutoStore in June 2020. In July 2021, she was appointed Chief People & Information Officer at AutoStore, with subsequent responsibilities in heading IT, PT-/and Communications, Sustainability and HSE in addition to HR. Prior to this, she held various positions at Innovation Norway, including Interim Head of People- and Technology, HR and Organizational Director, HR Manager and HR Business Partner, as well as various positions at Shell, including Team Lead HR Services and Compensation & Benefits Specialist, HR Business Partner, Recruiter – Graduate Markets and Recruiter/Sourcer.
Ms. Matre have completed three years of Master of Laws studies from the University of Oslo and holds an Executive Master of Management, with specialization in Human Resource Management, Leadership Effectiveness and Management from BI Norwegian Business School. Mr. Harrison was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of AutoStore in October 2023. Prior to this, Mr. Harrison held the position as Chief Operating Officer at Ascential pls, and as the CFO of Just Eat plc. He served as the CFO of The Sage Group plc from 2000 to 2013.
Mr. Harrison is a Chartered Accountant, fellow of the institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and Honours in Business at Manchester Metropolitan University. He is a UK citizen, currently residing in UK.
Carlos Fernandez was appointed as Chief Product Officer of AutoStore in June 2020. Prior to this, he has held various positions at AutoStore, including Director System Design, Sales Engineer, Project Engineer and Service Engineer. Mr. Fernandez has also held the position as Field Application Engineer Support at SILICA, and served as a board member in charge of treasury at SATELEC in the period from September 2007 to September 2009.
Mr. Fernandez holds an Executive MBA from the IESE Business School – University of Navarra, a Master of Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a degree in telecommunication engineering from the Universidad Politécninca de Madrid. Mr. Førre was appointed Chief Strategy Officer in January 2023, after joining the company in 2022 as Director of Strategy. Prior to this, he held various roles within management consultancy, strategy, and finance. Mr. Joshi joined AutoStore June 2024 as Chief Product Officer. Before joining AutoStore, Joshi served as the Chief Product & Technology Officer at Hexagon, where he was leading strategy, operations, and product execution. Before joining Hexagon, Joshi held executive roles at Eaton and Signify, where he was responsible for business units focused on software, hardware, and services for global customers. Joshi´s earlier career at Cisco Systems and Technicolor involved leading R&D and program management for home business units. Mr. Joshi holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master in Business Administration from Strayer University. He is a US citizen, currently residing in US.
Co-Chair of the Board of Directors, James C. Carlisle, has been at Thomas H. Lee Partners for over 20 years and holds the position of managing director. He is the Head of Technology & Business Solutions Vertical and Head of Automation Fund at Thomas H. Lee Partners. Carlisle serves as a board member in several companies within various fields.
