Frequently Asked Questions

What are interlinked VersaPorts?

Interlinked VersaPorts act as a single logical workstation bringing Bins that contain items required for same order in sequence.

How many VersaPorts can be interlinked?

Up to two VersaPorts can be interlinked to act as a single logical Port. While up to 10 VersaPorts can be placed side-by-side, only 2 can be logically interlinked.

Can VersaPort be installed in the mezzanine?

Yes, and due to the short Bin lifting distance max. Bin throughput goes up to 240 Bins/hr.

What does the VersaPort HMI display?

The VersaPort human-machine interface (HMI) displays information relevant to the current operational status of the Port, such as error messages, prompts, SKU weight and alerts in the case of overweight items during the inbound process.

What happens if someone puts a hand in the Port while the safety hatch is closing?

The hatch window is equipped with an anti-pinch mechanism that automatically disengages movement upon contact and release any trapped objects.  

Can an existing AutoStore customer install VersaPort?

Yes, however it is important to note that VersaPort is compatible only with the AutoStore system equipped with the Double/Double Grid.
