AutoStore Wins the Grand Prize in the 'Cube-Type Logistics Robots' Category at the 2024 K-Digital Brand Awards

AutoStore™, the forefront robotic technology company specializing in automated storage and retrieval systems, announced that it has been awarded the top prize in the "Cube-type Logistics Robots" category at the 2024 K-Digital Brand Awards for its innovative logistics solutions.

AutoStore is a technology company that develops order-fulfillment solutions to help businesses achieve efficiency gains within the storage and retrieval of goods. Founded in 1996 in Nedre Vats, Norway, AutoStore has grown into a global enterprise, with ~ 1,400 Systems in 54 countries. With the establishment of its Korean branch in 2020, led by Kevin Kim, AutoStore Korea Country Managing Director, AutoStore Korea aims to foster growth in the domestic logistics market.

AutoStore supports businesses in managing logistics centers and warehouses more efficiently in terms of space, productivity, and costs through its proprietary 'automated cube storage system.' The company offers both hardware and software capabilities and the AutoStore technology is interoperable with other third-party solutions.

AutoStore's solution can be installed in warehouses regardless of their size, height, or shape, saving up to 75% of space compared to traditional storage methods. Particularly, the independently operating R5 robots achieve a 99.7% uptime without a single point of failure, helping businesses improve order accuracy, reduce fulfillment and delivery times, and enhance efficiency.

Leading domestic and international companies across various industries, including e-commerce, groceries, industrial, and medical sectors, have already adopted AutoStore systems. In Korea, companies such as CJ Logistics, GS Caltex, Lotte Super, Woowa Youths, and Kakao are among the 26 entities currently operating AutoStore systems.

Notably, CJ Logistics has implemented an AutoStore system consisting of 140 robots and approximately 76,000 bins at its Incheon CJ Logistics Global Distribution Center. By integrating components such as routers, carousel ports, and relay ports, AutoStore has dramatically improved CJ Logistics' fulfillment efficiency and accuracy.

Kevin Kim, AutoStore Korea Country Managing Director, commented on the award, saying, "We are delighted that our continuous innovation in the field of logistics automation has led to this recognition. Moving forward, we will continue to lead in providing optimized solutions to help our domestic customers successfully achieve digital transformation."
