KOREA - 7 October 2020 - The cube storage pioneer, AutoStore, announces that Kevin Kim, 46 years old, will be in charge of developing the AutoStore business in the Korean market. “He will help us to accelerate our growth in Korea,” says Karl Johan Lier, CEO & President of AutoStore.
“With more than 16 years of experience in international business and technology, including Weidmuller and Schmalz, Kevin has developed an expertise which will be important for us to develop our business in Korea,” says Lier.
Kim is looking forward to working for AutoStore System in Korea and appreciates the opportunity the Norwegian company has given him.
“AutoStore is a really exciting company to be a part of, and the Norwegian technology is unique. I cannot wait to help with fulfilling the potential for AutoStore in the Korean market,” he says.
Kim will be responsible for growing and further developing AutoStore in Korea, together with AutoStore partners. AutoStore is sold, installed and maintained by highly qualified system integrators.
“We have sold 4 AutoStore systems in Korea, and the need for a local person to support further growth was imminent. We hope to have up to 10 AutoStore systems by the end of 2021. We are grateful that Kevin, with his competence and experience, joins us at AutoStore,” says Lier.
“AutoStore has decided to establish the Korean office in 2020 to accelerate the expected growth. We are now pleased to announce that our plans proceed as scheduled. Under the responsibility of the Norwegian headquarters and Hjorteland, Kim will further develop the business and deploy the AutoStore strategy in the Korean market.
