AutoStore™ Named SupplyTech Breakthrough Award Winner

NEDRE VATS, Norway, June 15, 2023 — Leading global technology company AutoStore announces it has won this year’s SupplyTech Breakthrough Award - receiving the Automated Storage and Retrieval System Innovation of the Year honor for its PickUpPort, the company’s first public-facing technology for customer self-service order collection.

The PickUpPort was designed with consumers in mind. It features top-of-the-line safety and security features, ensuring a seamless, intuitive experience. When a customer places an order for in-store pick up, AutoStore robots pick the correct product bins to be consolidated and then the order is stored within the system until pick up. The port remains locked until the designated purchaser's arrival, ensuring secure and accurate delivery. When the customer arrives, a robot brings the completed order to the PickUpPort, which will alert the patron with an LED light when it is ready to be opened.

Receiving this award for our first customer-facing port is an honor. The PickUpPort provides an alternative last-mile delivery option, allowing customers to receive their orders at a time most convenient to them.

Carlos Fernandez

“Receiving this award for our first customer-facing port is an honor,” said Carlos Fernandez, chief product officer of AutoStore. “The PickUpPort provides an alternative last-mile delivery option, allowing customers to receive their orders at a time most convenient to them. We are pleased to offer this delivery option to retailers who understand that there are better ways to bring products to customers and we look forward to continuing to deliver more innovative automation solutions.”
